Kessben Sports listener comes to aid of neglected Kotoko accident victim, puts him on monthly pay
Radio indeed gets results. In less than 24 hours after Sampson Ampiah opened up about his ordeal on Kessben TV/FM’s sports program, a kind heart has reached out to the former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper’s trainer.
The former goalkeeper in his interview with Kessben Sports narrated how he has been completely neglected by the club following the accident in 2017.
Sampson Anpiah noted that he still has a contract with the club but has been denied the requisite entitlements from the club following the accident.
Narrating his ordeal, Mr Ampiah said that the current CEO of the club Nana Yaw Amponsah has refused to pick his calls again.
According to him, the CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah had apparently communicated to give him a parting package that will take care of some of his medical bills but the CEO does not even pick his calls again.
The story of the accident victim really touched the heart of the thousands of listeners of Kessben Sports. Maxwell Siaw who was listening to the program from Austria and heard the sad story of the former employee of the club called the producers of Kessben Sports and offered to put the former Goalkeeper’s trainer on a monthly payment of Ghc800 from his own pocket.
Mr Maxwell Siaw said he will be paying the accident victim Ghc800 every month until his last breath on earth.
