Kotoko terminates contracts of Akakpo Patron and Johnson Smith, see their next destination

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has officially terminated the contracts of the former two assistant coaches, Kessben Sports has gathered.

The two positions of the two assistant coaches became redundant after the new head of coach of the Kumasi-based football club, Dr. Prosper Nartey brought his own assistants after his appointment.

Johnson Smith and Akapo Patron held on with their contracts until early last week when both coaches mutually agreed to the club’s decision to end their stint with Asante Kotoko.

A deep throat source has revealed to Kessben Sports the two assistant coaches have already agreed in principle to join Bekwai based division one side, Bekwai Youth Football Academy.

The division one club was recently purchased by Paul Baffour Kyei, a son of the BoD chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr Kwame Kyei.
