Arsenal ‘considering’ ex-Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to replace Mikel Arteta amid dismal start
Conte has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan after winning Serie A last season and has been tipped to replace Arteta following Arsenal’s two losses to begin the new Premier League season
Arsenal are reportedly considering Antonio Conte as Mikel Arteta’s replacement if the Gunners’ dismal start to the new season continues.
The Gunners have lost 2-0 in both of their Premier League games, against newly-promoted Brentford and London rivals Chelsea respectively.
Arteta is under pressure to improve results over the next five top-flight matches before the second international break in October, according to the Telegraph.
Ex-Chelsea boss Conte has been out of work since May, having led Inter Milan to a first Serie A title in 11 years.
The Italian departed after just two years in charge amid financial uncertainty and was in talks with Tottenham Hotspur for their vacant post before negotiations broke down.
