Ghana Reinsurance Marks 50th Anniversary With Awards To Insurance companies In Their Business Space
The Managing director of Ghana Reinsurance Company Mr. George Yaw Mensah says Ghana Re has undergone a remarkable transformation from a humble beginnings as a unit in the then state corporation now SIC, PLC Reinsurance support to the insurance industry in Ghana, Africa and beyond.
During the 50th Anniversary dinner awards night, “The Cedent Awards Night” he stated that, the flagships Anniversary and dinner awards night is to reward clients who have contributed to the financial growth in 2021 and also celebrate the 50th milestone under the theme ” celebrating 50 years of GhanaRe as African Reinsurance of choice.
According to him, 50years ago, October 1st 1972, GhanaRe was set to provide Reinsurance support and other services to the industry players and major role in the social economic development of the country.
He added that, GhanaRe paid a dividend of 12million Ghana cedis to the government of Ghana during it turbulence years in the year 2021.
Marking the anniversary, the criteria for the awardee was based on the contribution to the growth of GhanaRe.
