Sarfo Gyamfi finally details his whole episode with late Rawlings & Why he refused to greet him (Video)

Former Asante footballer, Sarfo Gyamfi alias the Black President has thrown more light on why he decided not to greet the former late president Jerry Rawlings at the Accra Sport stadium when Accra Hearts of Oak hosted Kotoko 33 years ago.

During the exchange of pleasantries with the dignitaries before the game, Sarfo snubbed greeting the former head of state,  Flight Lieutenant Jerry Rawlings.

Sarfo Gyamfi was banned for 8 games after the game which was played in December 1989.

According to him — before the game, his side had a piece of information that if all Asante Kotoko players greet the former president, they were going to lose the game, so he took it upon himself not to greet the president.

The Black President also recounted how he used pins in his handkerchief and his hand to deflate some game balls while they were playing against Hearts of Oak.
