Kidi wins MTN Hit-Maker 4
Though the night was for the five finalists of MTN Hitmaker 4, performances from guest artistes stole the show at the National Theatre last Wednesday when this season’s Hit Maker finals were held.
Joey B and Pappy Kojo kept the already charged audience on their feet for all the time they were on stage. The audience sang along and danced as the duo dished out song after song.
Clearly, they had warmed towards the hearts of their teeming fans and that was obvious on the night.

As if that was not enough, Tinny came on after them and kept the audience screaming for more. Just as they did with Joey B and Pappy Kojo, they sang every song with him and stayed on their feet throughout the time he was performing.
This was after the finalists themselves had gone through rounds of performances. The five- CJ, Gunshot, Abena, Yaw and Kidi – started off doing a song together. This drew loud cheers from the audience.
They then came on individually to do songs from the likes of Sam Smith, Beyonce, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie. Each and every one of them was impressive and got positive remarks from judges Okyeame Kwame, Eazzy and Kwasi Aboagye.
It probably might have urged them on because when they later came on stage to do their own songs, the energy level was simply great. They delivered to the admiration of the judges and the visibly excited audience.
At the end of an exciting and action packed evening, it was Kidi who went home with the ultimate prize of the GH¢100,000.00 recording deal as Hitmaker 4 winner. Abena came second while the third position went to Yaw.
CJ and Gunshot were fourth and fifth respectively.
The best beat – maker went to Kaywa, who took home a cool GH¢10,000.00. All the finalists will receive one year free credits from MTN.
