Edem nominated for 2015 Black Canadian Awards

Ghanaian rapper Edem has been nominated for the 2015 Black Canadian Awards.
The ‘Koene’ hit singer has been nominated for Best International Act – Africa category and will face off with other African contenders for the award.
Edem is hoping to beat Mafikizolo (South Africa), Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Davido (Nigeria), Eddy Kenzo (Uganda), Oritse Femi (Nigeria), and Teeyah (Ivory Coast) for the award.
The star-studded awards night, on June 6 at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Toronto, Canada will feature performances from Leila Dey, Lisa Banton, Lorraine Scott and Jay Harmony among others.
Still reaping the fruits of his hugely successful album, ‘Books & Rhymes’, Edem is hoping to add the Black Canadian Awards trophy to those he bagged at the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The album won him ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Afro-Pop Song of the Year’ and ‘Best Music Video of the Year’ at the April 11 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards at the Accra International Conference Centre.
