Bill Cosby refuses to respond to rape allegations

Popular actor and comedian Bill Cosby is facing sexual harassment allegations from several women which the comedian has repeatedly denied.

Former supermodel Janice Dickinson is the latest to come forward withย claims of rape. Dickinson alleges that Cosby assaulted her in 1982 after the two had dinner in Lake Tahoe. She alleges he gave her a pill and a glass of red wine shortly before she passed out.

โ€œThe last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember a lot of pain,โ€ she said.

Cosbyโ€™s attorney, John P. Schmitt, said: โ€œOver the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr Cosby have resurfaced,โ€ Schmitt said in a written statement. โ€œThe fact that they are being repeated does not make them true. Mr Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment.โ€

Since 2005, a handful of women have made sexual assault claims. This year, the accusations resurfaced, and earlier this month, a post on Cosbyโ€™s Twitter account turned them into a social media storm.

On Saturday, NPR broadcast an awkward interview with Cosby in which he didnโ€™t utter a word when repeatedly asked about the claims about him.

NPR host Scott Simon filled the airtime by saying Cosby was just โ€œshaking his head no.โ€

Cosby, 77,ย was a household name in the โ€™80s and โ€™90s as the patriarch of the Cosby household in the popular TV sitcom The Cosby Show.
