Korea DPR thrash Ghana's U-20s

Korea DPR placed one foot into the quarter-finals place of the on-going U-20 Women’s World Cup with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Ghana on Friday night.
The Black Princesses succumbed to an early lead as early as the sixth minute through Korea DPR’s Ri Un-Sim.
Right-back Song Kyong-Hui had done well with a positive overlapping run and cross, but the ball arrived at an awkward height for the team’s talisman. Undeterred, Ri simply adjusted her body, stooping low on the six-yard line to direct a a delicate header in off the far post.
Ri Un-Sim was on hand again to compound Ghana’s woes heading in from a free-kick in the 78th minute.
In added time, a disorganised Princesses defence conceded a penalty. Jo So-Yon made no mistake in planting the ball into the net to seal a perfect winning record for Korea.
Ghana face Finland next on Tuesday in a must win encounter.
