Black Stars striker Abdul Majeed Waris looks set to feature in the team very soon as he took part in Ghana’s training on Friday in Maceio.
The striker got injured in Ghana’s warm-up friendly with South Korea in Miami. His recovery will give coach Kwesi Appiah a full squad to choose from ahead of Ghana’s opener on Monday, June 16 against the USA in Natal. His injury initially raised doubts over his availability for the opener.
The 22-year-old striker’s quick return is a welcome boost to the coach and the team’s bid to make it out of a tough group.
