Ghana 3-1 Sudan

AC Milan and Ghana midfielder, Sulley Muntari, scored a much deserved third goal to secure the Black Stars a victory in the crucial World Cup Qualifier against the Nile Crocodiles of Sudan.

Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan put Ghana in the lead in the 9th minute but saw it cancelled out by a penalty.

The captain’s second goal, which came in the 63rd minute of the game, made him (Asamoah Gyan) the all time top scorer for the national team.

Ghana started with 4-1-4-1 but after Richard Kissi Boateng’s red card, Mubarack Wakaso was forced to take up a double duty on the left side of the pitch.

Richard Kissi Boateng was given his marching orders by the referee after he brought a Sudanese down in the box.

The Black Stars were then handed an uphill task after Mudathir Al Tahir scored the equaliser for Sudan through a spot kick.

Mubarak Wakasso and Asamoah Gyan were yellow carded in the hotly contested game.

The Black Stars now occupy the top spot in Group D with 9 points. Zambia lie second with 7 points but with a game in hand against Lesotho.
