A/R: Manifesto reading for Assemblyman election turns “War”

A scheduled manifesto reading event for candidates aspiring to become the Assemblyman at Yomoso Jamaase in the Ashanti Region of Ghana turned violent.

The program could not even start as followers of the various candidates clashed at the forecourt of the venue where the manifesto reading was supposed to take place.

According to a report filed by Kessben FM’s reporter on Breaking News with Kwasi Ntiamoah, some followers of one of the candidates had wanted to place a banner of their candidate at the entrance of the venue but came with disagreement which started a heated misunderstanding.

The manifesto reading could not happen as the misunderstanding escalated to the point where the police had to come in.
