PHOTOS: SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT CONVOY INVOLVED IN A GORY ACCIDENT
Information gathered indicates that, a convoy of the Speaker of Parliament of Ghana, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin has been involved in an accident at Juaso, Asante Akyem South Municipality, off Accra-Kumasi Highway in the Ashanti Region.
An eye witness confirmed that the accident involved a dispatch rider, a long vehicle, and a Nissan saloon car, which has resulted in the demise of the dispatch rider. The other two casualties have been sent to the Juaso Government Hospital for treatment.
According to Mr. Mustapha Azure, the driver of the long vehicle with registration number GR 6397 X, upon seeing the convoy decided to pave way for them but unfortunately, the Nissan saloon car with registration number AS 2173 – 21 with high speed trying to overtake him and eventually collided with the dispatch rider and dragged him under the long vehicle.
The victim has been identified as Chief Inspector Kaakyire Abednego of the Ghana Police Service.
This sad incident happened around 8:45am on Friday, 6th August 2021.
