PPP performance in December polls very disappointing – Chairman
The Greater Accra regional Chairman of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Nana Boadi has bemoaned what he described as an abysmal performance of the party in the December general elections.
According to him, the polling results come as a big surprise considering what he said was the massive support the party enjoyed in the electioneering campaign.
Nana Boadi made these comments on Adom FM Friday.
The PPP which was poised to cause a major upset in the elections failed to live up to expectation.
The flagbearer, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom together with his parliamentary candidates could not poll the needed votes to enable them win the elections.
However, Nana Boadi said the provisional results from the polls have caused the party to re-strategise ahead of Saturday’s re-voting.
He indicated that PPP has learnt from its mistakes hence will ensure all its party agents are vigilant at the polling stations.
Nana Boadi noted that the PPP as a formidable party was unperturbed about its performance but will work assiduously in the grassroots to win more seats in Parliament.
He was confident the PPP will at least win the Wulensi seat in the Northern region.
