Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have been named as the final three players in the race for the 2014/15 UEFA Best Player Award.
Journalists from each of the 54 UEFA member countries sent in their top three players from the European leagues.
While these votes gave an initial 35-man shortlist, only three made it through to the final – and all three are from La Liga.
Barcelona duo Messi and Suarez scored a combined 83 goals on their way to a remarkable treble last season.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, scored 61 goals for Real Madrid and picked up winner’s medals in both the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
Gianluigi Buffon, Neymar, Eden Hazard, Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal, Carlos Tevez and Paul Pogba made up the remainder of the top 10.
The final vote will be made electronically by journalists at the presentation ceremony in Monaco on August 27, which will be held in conjunction with the draw for the group stages of the 2015/16 Champions League.
The award has previously been won by Ronaldo (2013/14), Franck Ribery (2012/13), Andres Iniesta (2011/12) and Messi (2010/11).
Argentine forward Messi is the bookmakers’ favourite to lift the 2014/15 award.
