Prince Ofosu Sefah Appointed NPP National Director of IT

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appointed Prince Ofosu Sefah as its new National Director of IT.
The appointment, which has been widely celebrated by party faithful, is expected to strengthen the party’s digital infrastructure and information systems as it reorganizes for the 2028 general elections.
Prince Sefah brings extensive experience in technology leadership and public service. He previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) from 2021 to 2024 and as Deputy Director-General of the National Communications Authority (NCA) in charge of Operations from 2017 to 2021.
A multi-faceted technology leader with about 30 years of professional experience spanning manufacturing, banking, ICT, oil and gas and telecommunications in Canada and Ghana, Mr. Sefah holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Technology Management from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada and an MBA from the University of Ghana, Legon.
He has also been a long-serving executive of the NPP’s diaspora structures, including roles in the NPP Canada Branch and Toronto & Edmonton Chapters, and is the Chairman of the Diaspora Patriots in Ghana (DPG) Foundation.
Before his appointment as National IT Director, he was named Spokesperson for the NPP’s Communication, Technology and Digital Economy Sector Committee, leading public engagement on telecoms, ICT infrastructure and Ghana’s digital economy agenda.
Party members have taken to social media to congratulate him, describing the appointment as well-deserved given his track record in rural connectivity expansion and digital inclusion during his time at GIFEC and the NCA.
