Alex Asamoah still pained by Kotoko’s goal king drought, offers to help

Former Asante Kotoko striker Alex Asamoah has expressed disappointment that no player at the club has won the Ghana Premier League Goal King award since his achievement 18 years ago.

Asamoah, who won the prestigious award during his time with the Porcupine Warriors, said the long-standing drought still pains him, stressing that he is ready to offer his support to help the club produce another top scorer.

“It’s been 18 years since I won the Goal King at Kotoko, and no player at Kotoko has won it again. It still pains me,” he said.

Speaking to Tony Montana on Kessben TV, the former striker indicated his willingness to contribute towards helping Asante Kotoko restore its goalscoring tradition and develop players capable of winning individual honours.
