185 NDC MPs vs NPP’s 87: We’ll always have our impactful say, but they have their way – Akwasi Gyamfi Onyina-Acheampong
The Member of Parliament for the Kwabre East Constituency, Hon. Akwasi Gyamfi Onyina-Acheampong, has acknowledged the numerical advantage enjoyed by the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Parliament, saying the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will nevertheless continue to make its voice heard.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Hon. Akwasi Gyamfi Onyina-Acheampong noted that although the NDC has 185 Members of Parliament compared to the NPP’s 87, the minority caucus remains committed to playing an impactful role in Parliament.
According to him, the NPP MPs may not have the numbers to determine every parliamentary decision, but they will continue to contribute meaningfully to debates and hold the government accountable.
“We will always have our impactful say, but they have their way,” he said.
He stressed the importance of constructive opposition in ensuring that issues affecting Ghanaians receive the necessary attention in Parliament.
