Accra to Host 5th International Customer Service Summit as Africa Makes Service Excellence Its Growth Currency

The debate is no longer whether Africa should prioritize customer experience, but how it can master it. This October, Ghana will provide the continental answer as it hosts the 5th edition of the International Customer Service Summit (ICUSS).

The flagship summit, which officially opens Customer Service Week Ghana & Africa 2026, is scheduled for October 2, 2026, at the La-Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.

For five years, ICUSS has grown from a conference into a movement. Convened by Priscilla M. Wellington, Founder & CEO of Customer Service Africa, TEDx Accra speaker and originator of the “Attitude Is Your Currency®” philosophy, the summit was founded on a radical conviction: that service is not a support-desk function, but a leadership and culture discipline that separates thriving institutions from stagnant ones.

ICUSS 2026 marks a significant milestone in that journey. What began as a call to action has evolved into a continental standard for service leadership, bringing together senior executives, policymakers, entrepreneurs and customer experience practitioners.

This year’s theme, “Beyond Technology: Why Culture and Attitude Decide AI ROI,” will challenge leaders to look beyond automation and digital tools to the human element that determines true return on investment.

“This anniversary is not about celebrating our past, but about arming Africa’s leaders for the future,” said Priscilla M. Wellington. “We have spent five years proving that culture dictates performance. In 2026, we are taking that proof to the boardroom, exploring how the human element of service is the only sustainable advantage in a rapidly automating world.”

The 2026 edition is not merely a one-day event; it is the flagship launch of a week-long celebration of service excellence across the continent. Delegates are expected to leave with actionable frameworks, a powerful network of peers, and a renewed understanding of how organizational culture drives the bottom line.

Highlights of the summit include a high-level *CEO Perspectives Panel* and the prestigious *Customer-Centric Leadership Recognition* ceremony, which for five years has honoured leaders who champion the customer’s voice.
