Edmund Kyei Endorses John Boadu for NPP National Chairman, JFK for General Secretary

Party stalwart Edmund Kyei has endorsed John Boadu for NPP National Chairman and Justin Kodua Frimpong, JFK for National Secretary, saying their experience and leadership are needed to unite the party ahead of the 2028 elections.

In a statement on Wednesday, Kyei said the decision followed “careful consideration and listening to the views and concerns of the grassroots.”

“Experience, Commitment and Leadership”
According to Kyei, his support for the two is based on their proven track record, commitment, and ability to strengthen the party from the grassroots up.

“My support is based on my belief in their experience, commitment, leadership, and ability to contribute to building a stronger and more united party,” he stated.

“As we look towards elections 2028, we need national executives who can unite the grassroots, strengthen our structures, listen to our members, and provide focused leadership. I believe John Boadu and Justin Kodua Frimpong can play important roles in achieving this.”

Call For Unity
Kyei said the endorsement is about “unity, organisation, hard work, and a shared vision for the future.”

He urged party members to respect one another, work together, and put the interests of the NPP first.

“John Boadu for National Chairman. Justin Kodua Frimpong (JFK) for National Secretary.
Together, we can build. Together, we can progress. Together, we rise,” the statement concluded.

John Boadu is a former NPP General Secretary, while Justin Kodua Frimpong currently serves as the party’s General Secretary. Both are expected to contest for top positions at the party’s upcoming National Delegates Conference.

The NPP is gearing up to elect new national executives as part of preparations for the 2028 general elections.
