Kwaku Nkansah PaaNii Withdraws From NPP National Treasurer Race

Kwaku Nkansah “PaaNii”, an aspirant for the NPP National Treasurer position, has withdrawn from the 2026 race, citing “circumstances beyond his control.”

In a press statement issued from his office in Accra on Thursday, PaaNii said the decision was not easy but necessary at this time.

“My Loyalty To The NPP Remains Unwavering”
PaaNii thanked the numerous supporters who rallied behind his bid over the years, describing their commitment as “humbling.”

“This was not an easy decision, and I know it is not the news my supporters were hoping for. But circumstances beyond my control have made it necessary at this time,” he said.

“My loyalty to the NPP remains unwavering, and I will continue to serve and support our party in every way I can. I wish the other contestants the very best.”

Call For Unity Ahead of Elections
The aspirant reiterated his commitment to party unity ahead of the National Treasurer election and urged party members to rally behind whoever emerges as the successful candidate.

He also apologized for any inconvenience his withdrawal may cause and extended well wishes to the NPP and the nation.

PaaNii did not specify the circumstances that led to his decision.

The NPP is expected to hold its National Delegates Conference later this year to elect new national officers.
