How can Kessben TV & TV3 play a match & the referee come from Kessben TV? WAEC & GES are controlled by Gov’t – Private Schools Association of Ghana

A member of the Private Schools Association of Ghana has accused the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) of being biased against private schools.
Speaking on Kessben FM, the association member argued that the government’s influence over the two institutions contributes to what he described as unfair treatment of private schools.
According to him, private schools continue to face challenges in areas where they should receive equal opportunities, particularly in matters relating to national examinations and the involvement of private-school teachers.
He questioned why qualified teachers from private schools are not given adequate opportunities to participate in examination-related activities such as marking and invigilation.
The association member said private schools have qualified personnel capable of contributing to the administration of national examinations and called for greater fairness and inclusiveness from GES and WAEC.
He urged the relevant authorities to review existing arrangements to ensure that qualified teachers from both public and private schools are given equal opportunities.
