No sense building new Accra-Kumasi expressway while current project remains incomplete – Kwaku Twumasi tells NDC Gov’t
(NPP) Communications Team, Kwaku Twumasi, has questioned the government’s reported plans to construct a new Accra-Kumasi Expressway, arguing that priority should be given to completing the existing road project.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Twumasi said it would not make sense for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to embark on a new expressway project while the current Accra-Kumasi road under construction remains unfinished.
He urged the government to focus on completing ongoing infrastructure projects before committing resources to new ones, stressing that doing so would ensure value for money and improve transportation for commuters.
Twumasi’s comments come amid discussions about road infrastructure and development priorities. His remarks reflect the views of an opposition party representative.
