DE MAYOR FOUNDATION Marks One Year with Donations to Schools and Flood Relief Support in South Tongu

The DE MAYOR FOUNDATION has marked its first anniversary with a donation drive to schools in the South Tongu District, reaffirming its commitment to education and community development.

As part of the anniversary activities held on July 2, 2026, the Foundation presented educational materials and essential supplies to three schools in the Volta Region.

The beneficiary schools were:
– Dalive–Torsikpota LA Primary School
– Agorta JHS
– Nutekpor LA Primary School

Supporting Teaching and Learning
Items donated included bundles of exercise books and notebooks, sets of mathematical instruments, packs of assorted drinks for school activities, boxes of pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and boxes of chalk.

According to the Foundation, the gesture is aimed at supporting teaching and learning, easing the financial burden on parents, and equipping pupils with basic learning materials needed to excel academically.

“Every child deserves access to quality educational resources regardless of their background,” the Foundation stated.

Flood Relief and Infrastructure Support
Beyond the classroom, DE MAYOR FOUNDATION also pledged to supply chippings to the *Dalive–Torsikpota community* to improve waterlogged grounds left exposed by recent floods. The intervention is expected to enhance movement within the community, improve safety, and create a better environment for residents.

Meanwhile, authorities of Agorta JHS appealed to the Foundation for roofing sheets to replace the school’s leaking roof. The school noted that rainfall causes water to pour into classrooms, disrupting lessons.

The Foundation acknowledged the request and expressed commitment to mobilising resources and partnerships to address the challenge.

One Year of Impact
As it celebrates one year of service, DE MAYOR FOUNDATION extended appreciation to individuals, corporate organisations, philanthropists, and development partners who have supported its work.

“Education is a shared responsibility, and every act of kindness has the power to transform lives. Together, we can build stronger schools, empowered communities, and a brighter future for every child,” the Foundation said.
