Dr Henry Kokofu goes on hard President Mahama for politicizing Accra Floods during the Akufo-Addo administration

Former Bantama Member of Parliament and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Chairman hopeful, Dr Henry Kokofu, has alleged that President John Dramani Mahama politicised the issue of flooding in Accra during the administration of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Dr Kokofu claimed that the recurring floods in the capital became a subject of political criticism while the NPP was in government.
He argued that flooding is a longstanding national challenge that requires sustained investment and practical solutions rather than partisan debate.
Dr Kokofu’s remarks contribute to the ongoing political discourse over responsibility for addressing Accra’s persistent flooding problem, an issue that continues to affect residents during periods of heavy rainfall.
