A Ghanaian returnee from South Africa has shared an observation about dating culture in the country while speaking on Kessben FM’s Drive Time show hosted by Fante Quoo.
According to the returnee, women in South Africa are more open about expressing interest in men compared to what is commonly seen in Ghana.
“A South African woman will approach and propose to you if she likes you, unlike in Ghana where only men are expected to do the approaching,” he said during the interview.
His comments have since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some agreeing that cultural differences influence dating behaviors, while others argued that such experiences vary from person to person.
