Complete Kejetia phase 2 instead of building cemetery markets in the name of 24-hour market – Wofa Kofi Appiah

Wofa Kofi Appiah has questioned the government’s continued investment in some 24-hour market projects, arguing that several of the facilities remain inactive during evening hours.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Wofa Kofi Appiah said some of the markets introduced under the National Democratic Congress government become “like a cemetery” at night due to low commercial activity.
According to him, government resources would be better used to complete stalled market infrastructure projects such as the Kejetia Market Phase 2 and the Central Market redevelopment project in Kumasi.
He argued that completing existing major trading centers would bring greater economic benefits to traders and residents than investing in underutilized markets.
