QNET Donates Manchester City Clinic Equipment to Samuel Inkoom Football Academy in Accra
Gear used in four-day coaching programme handed over to support grassroots football development

QNET has donated the full set of football equipment used in its recent QNET Manchester City Football Clinic to the Samuel Inkoom Football Academy, in a move aimed at strengthening grassroots football in Ghana.
The handover took place in Accra after a four-day clinic that brought coaches from Manchester City Football Club to train 25 young Ghanaian players, including six girls. The clinic covered technical skills such as attacking, defending, team play, and tactical understanding, alongside lessons in discipline, teamwork and confidence.
“Watching these children train with the Man City coaches reminds me why coaching matters so much,” said *Trevor Kuna*, Chief Network Development Officer at QNET. “Talent is everywhere in Ghana. What these kids need is development, structure, and the right tools.”
Rather than dispose of the training gear after the clinic, QNET decided to hand it over to a local academy making an impact on the ground. The recipient was the Samuel Inkoom Football Academy, founded by former Black Stars, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak player *Samuel Inkoom*.
Inkoom attended the clinic daily and saw first-hand how the programme affected the 25 participants.
“This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting football talent here in Ghana,” Kuna said. “By providing these resources, we aim to empower future stars and enhance the grassroots football experience. QNET is dedicated to creating opportunities for youth, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed on and off the field.”
The donated items include:
– Pitch hoardings
– Mini nets
– Sport bibs
– Tactical boards
– Football cones
– Football equipment bags
– QNET/Manchester City Football Clinic souvenirs
QNET said the donation is part of its broader goal to support academies that provide daily training and mentorship to young players across Ghana.
Speaking at the presentation, Inkoom expressed appreciation for the support.
“On behalf of the entire team, I will say a big thank you. What you have done for us, the support you have given us, we really appreciate,” he said.
The academy captain also thanked QNET on behalf of the players, saying the team was grateful and hopeful for more opportunities ahead.
Kuna praised Inkoom’s work with the academy, noting that he had spent time with the former Black Stars defender and met several of the academy’s players.
“It just touches my heart to see how dedicated you are to supporting these young men and making sure that they have a chance, the same chance that was given to you,” Kuna said. “We look forward to many more of these types of projects with you, Samuel.”
QNET has been a partner of Manchester City since 2014. The company said the Accra clinic and equipment donation form part of its commitment to youth development and sports development across Africa.
