Ghana Hajj Concern Commends Hajj Board for Smooth 2026 Pilgrim Airlift to Madinah

Ghanaian Hajj Concern has commended the Ghana Hajj Board for successfully airlifting all Ghanaian pilgrims to Madinah for Hajj 2026, describing this year’s operation as “remarkable and worthy of national commendation.”

In a press statement issued Wednesday, the group congratulated the Board’s leadership under Chairman Alhaji Abdul Rauf Tanko, along with operational teams, stakeholders, security agencies, medical teams, airport staff, and volunteers for ensuring smooth departures from both Tamale and Accra.

“The smooth coordination, professionalism, cooperation, and dedication displayed throughout the airlift operations have been remarkable,” the statement said. “This year’s exercise has demonstrated that when leadership, collaboration, and commitment come together, excellence can truly be achieved.”

Incident-free airlift praised

Ghanaian Hajj Concern noted that all outbound flights were completed without major incident, and for the first time in many years, the final flight to Madinah departed “peacefully and successfully without confusion or confrontation.”

The group also highlighted the calm atmosphere at the Hajj Village after the last flight departed, saying it reflects “improved planning, better communication, and effective management by the leadership of the Hajj Board.”

It added that the successful operation is proof of the Board’s commitment to its motto: “Job will cooperate, will collaborate, and will deliver.”

Appreciation to government

The statement extended appreciation to the President of the Republic for his “continuous support, guidance, and commitment towards the welfare of Ghanaian Muslims and the success of Hajj operations in Ghana.”

As pilgrims begin the sacred rites of Hajj, Ghanaian Hajj Concern prayed for Allah’s guidance, protection, acceptance, and safe return for all Ghanaian pilgrims.

“We also look forward to a successful and spiritually fulfilling Hajj 2026 for every pilgrim,” the group said.

“May Allah reward everyone involved abundantly for their dedication and service to the Ummah,” the statement concluded.
