Give us jobs now – NDC Zongo caucus goes after Government over 24-hour economy
The Coordinator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Nyinahin Zongo Caucus, Alhaji Mohammed Abdul Mumuni, has appealed for increased job opportunities for residents of Atwima Mponua and Zongo communities as they await the rollout of the government’s proposed 24-hour economy policy.
He acknowledged the economic challenges facing residents, noting that many community members are currently experiencing hardship, but expressed confidence that the government will fulfill its promises.
“We are facing lots of issues,” he said.
Despite the difficulties, he said supporters of the NDC remain optimistic about President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership and believe his administration will create sustainable opportunities for citizens.
“The problems we have now cannot take the party into opposition because we believe President John Dramani Mahama will put in place good opportunities for all of us,” he added.
Alhaji Mumuni further expressed hope that communities in the district will benefit significantly once the 24-hour economy policy is fully implemented.
