Wassa Saa Assembly Member Disputes MP’s Claim on Road Project, Demands Action

The Assembly Member for Wassa Saa Electoral Area, Hon. Emmanuel Akwasi Oduro, has challenged Member of Parliament for Amenfi East, Nicholas Amankwah, over what he calls “false” claims about the state of the Wassa Saa road project.

Speaking after a recent interview on Kessben TV in which the MP stated that the road project had been awarded on contract, Hon. Oduro said the claim does not reflect conditions on the ground.

“Despite the MP’s statement, no contractor has been seen working on the road to date,” Oduro said. “Residents continue to suffer daily due to the deplorable condition of the road, especially during the rainy season.”

He described the MP’s assertion as misleading and urged him to “be truthful to the people of Wassa Saa.”

Oduro said the poor state of the road remains a major setback to transportation, farming activities, and local businesses in the area.

The Assembly Member is calling on Hon. Amankwah to take immediate steps to ensure the road project is executed, rather than making promises not backed by action.

He also appealed to government and relevant authorities to intervene urgently to fix the road and bring relief to affected communities.

Hon. Nicholas Amankwah is yet to respond to the Assembly Member’s claims.
