NPP’s William Yamoah Salutes Ghanaian Workers on May Day: ‘Your Hustle Keeps the Nation Moving’

As Ghana marks International Workers’ Day, the New Patriotic Party’s Director of Finance & Administration, William Yamoah, has paid tribute to workers across the country for their resilience and contribution to national development.
In a May Day message, Mr.Yamoah celebrated what he called the “strength and hustle” of every Ghanaian putting in the shift to build the nation.
“From the early morning commutes to the late-night finishes, your ‘can-do’ spirit is what keeps us moving forward,” he said. “Whether you are in the office, the field, or the shop, your hard work is seen and deeply appreciated.”
Yamoah extended “Ayekoo” to workers for their sacrifice, resilience, and grace, noting that their labor remains the backbone of Ghana’s progress.
“As we mark this May Day, may your labor always bear fruitful results and bring plenty of blessings to your home,” he added.
He urged workers to use the holiday to rest, spend time with family, and recharge. “Take this time to enjoy some good rest, catch up with family, and eat some heavy fufu or jollof to recharge your batteries,” Yamoah said.
“You have worked hard all year, and you deserve to be celebrated in grand style. Enjoy your holiday, stay motivated, and may the coming months bring even more promotion and success to your doorstep!”
International Workers’ Day, also known as May Day, is observed globally on May 1 to honor the contributions of workers and the labor movement.
Yamoah’s message comes as unions and workers’ groups hold events nationwide to commemorate the day.
