NPP National Organizer Hopeful Ismaela Ibrahim Calls for Unity to Secure Bawumia’s 2028 Victory

A leading contender for National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Ismaela Ibrahim, is urging party members to close ranks and rally behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the 2028 general elections.

In a statement issued Thursday, Ibrahim said a “decisive victory” for Dr. Bawumia will require the “full inclusion, unity, and mobilization of every party member and stakeholder.”

Ibrahim, who also serves as Director of Operations for the NPP Presidential Candidate, called for “restraint, maturity, and strategic cohesion” following the party’s recently concluded presidential primaries.

“The aftermath of the primaries must not become a basis for division or recrimination,” he said. “The 87 Members of Parliament, like all delegates and party actors, exercised their legitimate democratic rights in supporting candidates of their choice. Such participation should be respected, not penalized.”

He cautioned the party against “victimization, vengeance, or factional vendettas” at what he described as a critical juncture.

“Our collective objective is clear: to reconstitute a formidable, united front capable of reclaiming political power,” Ibrahim stated. “Electoral success is neither accidental nor individualistic — it is the product of shared responsibility, disciplined coordination, and unwavering solidarity.”

Warning that internal fractures could weaken the party’s foundation, Ibrahim pressed for reconciliation and strategic alignment.

“This is a moment for reconciliation, strategic alignment, and renewed commitment to the common cause,” he added. “Together, we stand. Through unity, we prevail.”

Ibrahim signed off the statement with the hashtag _#Operations: Let’s Organize to Win_, signaling the theme of his campaign for National Organizer.

The NPP is expected to hold its national executive elections later this year as it begins preparations for the 2028 polls.
