8 Years, 43 MPs, 6 cabinet ministers, Yet you could not complete Kejetia phase 2 market – Justice Prempeh

A communicator for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Justice Prempeh, has criticized the previous administration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over delays in completing the Kejetia Phase 2 Market project in Kumasi.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Mr. Prempeh argued that the NPP government had ample representation and influence in the Ashanti Region but failed to deliver on the project. He pointed out that the region had about 43 NPP Members of Parliament and six cabinet ministers, yet the project remains unfinished after eight years in office.
“Eight years in government, with 43 MPs and six cabinet ministers from Ashanti Region, yet you could not complete the Kejetia Phase 2 Market,” he stated.
He described the situation as disappointing, stressing that the project is crucial for traders and economic activity in Kumasi. According to him, the delay reflects poor prioritisation and execution by the erstwhile administration.
