Waiting for the NDC’s 24-hour economy is like waiting for a ship at the airport, it’s better for the NDC grassroots to start the ‘Indomie business’ – Kwasi Kyei

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwasi Kyei, has criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s proposed 24-hour economy policy, describing it as unrealistic.
Speaking on Kessben Maakye on Kessben TV, hosted by Wofa Kofi Appiah, Kyei compared waiting for the policy’s implementation to “waiting for a ship at the airport,” suggesting it may not materialize as promised.
He further advised NDC grassroots supporters to consider alternative means of livelihood, including starting small-scale ventures such as noodle businesses and food joints to create employment for themselves, as some of the NDC top brass have suggested.
Kyei’s comments come amid ongoing national discussions about the feasibility and potential impact of a 24-hour economy, which proponents argue could boost job creation and productivity. However, critics continue to question how the policy would be implemented and sustained.
