Bribeless Foundation and Bribeless International Foundation Bring Hope to Pediatric Cancer Patients

In a heartwarming display of kindness, the Bribeless Foundation and Bribeless International Foundation have brought joy and support to children battling cancer at the Korle Teaching Hospital.
The foundations, led by Executive Director Mrs. Bridget Gyabaky Gali, visited the Pediatric Oncology Unit, donating GHC 90,000 in cash and assorted items to support the children’s medical bills and brighten their day. “The kids here, it’s of no fault of theirs that they are suffering,” Mrs. Gali said. “Their parents are burdened with medications and bills, and government support is limited.”
On behalf of the parents and children, Principal Nursing Officer Wendy Kwansima Ayiah Mensah expressed deep gratitude for the foundations’ visit, saying, “We want to say a big thank you to Bribeless International Foundation for remembering the children that suffer from cancer in this season of love and giving.”
The children, who are spending Christmas in hospital beds, have been touched by the foundations’ kindness. Some have been hospitalized for over a month, with no end in sight. “Their colleagues are home celebrating Christmas with friends and family, but these children are here, fighting for their lives,” Mensah said.
The foundations’ visit has brought much-needed joy to the children, and the hospital staff is grateful for their support. “We bless Bribeless International Foundation for coming in every time to visit our children and putting a smile on their faces,” Mensah said.
Mrs. Gali appealed to the government to include childhood cancer medications in the National Health Insurance Scheme, saying, “If treated early, they can get healed. We plead with the government to lift some of the burden off parents.”
The foundations, which started in 2018, targets not just cancer patients but also deprived communities and those in need. “We try to reach out in small ways,” Mrs. Gali explained. “This year, God directed us to the cancer unit.”
The visit brought smiles and hope to the children, and the hospital staff and parents are praying for the foundations’ continued good health and success. “God will nourish it and it shall flourish,” Mensah said, thanking the foundations for their kindness.
The Pediatric Oncology Unit at Korle Teaching Hospital continues to provide vital care to children battling cancer, and organizations like Bribeless Foundation and Bribeless International Foundation play a crucial role in supporting these efforts.
