President Mahama Attends Doha Forum 2025; Set for Major Interventions on Education and Africa’s Economy

President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Doha, Qatar, to participate in the 2025 Doha Forum at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Mr. Mahama touched down in the Qatari capital on Saturday morning 6th December, 2025 ahead of a series of high-level engagements. During the Forum, he is scheduled to make two major interventions. He will deliver opening remarks on the theme “Education as Justice in Times of Crisis,” addressing the importance of resilient, fair and inclusive education systems in a turbulent global environment.

He will also join a panel discussion on “Economic Empowerment in Africa: Pathway to Inclusive Prosperity,” where he is expected to share insights on Africa’s development trajectory, economic transformation, and strategies for creating equitable opportunities across the continent.

As part of his visit, President Mahama will hold bilateral discussions with the Emir of Qatar to deepen cooperation and explore potential partnerships between Ghana and Qatar.

The President travelled to Doha aboard a Qatar Airways Executive Jet provided by the State of Qatar. He is expected to depart Doha on Sunday after concluding his engagements.
