The Galamsey fight will be won – Mahmud Kabore, spokesperson for the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, assures Ghanaians

Mahmud Kabore, spokesperson for the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Armah Kofi Buah, has expressed strong confidence in the government’s ongoing battle against illegal mining, popularly known as Galamsey.
Speaking in an interview with Wofa Kofi Appiah on Kessben TV, Mr. Kabore assured Ghanaians that the fight is far from lost and that concrete progress is being made.
According to him, the Ministry remains resolute in its mandate to protect Ghana’s lands, water bodies, and natural resources from the destructive activities of illegal miners. He emphasized that the Minister, Hon. Buah, has intensified collaborative efforts with security agencies, local authorities, and community stakeholders to restore affected environments and prevent further degradation.
Mr. Kabore noted that although the challenge is complex, the government’s renewed strategies and community-based interventions are beginning to yield positive results. He urged the public to support the Ministry’s initiatives and to report illegal mining activities in their communities.
