Don’t run away from your responsibility because of hardship or poverty – Rev Vincent Kankam (Sofo Kankam)

Rev. Vincent Kankam stated that people should not run away from their responsibilities because of hardship or poverty.

He said life can be tough. Financial struggles, emotional pressure, and overwhelming circumstances often make people feel justified in walking away from their responsibilities,  Due to that some people abandon their families, jobs, faith, or moral obligations, believing poverty or hardship gives them a way out.

But Rev. Kankam firmly argues otherwise. He reminds us that responsibility is not seasonal. It is not something we carry only when life is convenient.

According to Rev. Kankam, hardship shouldn’t push us into excuses or escapism. Walking away might feel easier in the moment, but it often leads to greater consequences:

Rev said choosing to stay committed, even in lack or struggle, builds strength, integrity, and growth. Responsibility becomes a tool that shapes your future, not just a task to endure.
