Galamsey Fight: Goldbod and Small Scale Mining Have come to stay – Hon Nicholas Amankwah, MP, Amenfi East for NDC
According to Honorable Amankwah, speaking with Kojo Preko Dankwah on Kessben TV, he said, the fight against Galamsey cannot be done within 9 months
He explained that the large-scale mining needs approval from the Bank of Ghana to enable them to sell gold to Goldbold.
He also highlighted in the period of 6 months, the NDC government have been able to export Gold worth 6.8 billion dollars adding the need for forest and money to stabilize our economy”
He again mentioned that Goldbod has put measures in place to track illegal miners and promote responsible mining, acknowledging the Sector Minister and President, John Mahama for bringing on board Blue Water Guards several units and his active responsible to promote responsible mining in order to secure gold for Goldbod.
