NPP-USA Columbus Chapter Calls for Unity After 2026 Primaries

The Columbus Chapter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP-USA) has called on all party faithful to remain united after the upcoming presidential primaries, stressing that unity is the surest path to victory in Ghana’s 2028 national elections.
During a Zoom conference held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, under the theme “Unity After the 2026 Primaries: The Key to Political Victory,” members and sympathizers from across the United States, Ghana and other parts of the world joined in to deliberate on the party’s future.
Keynote speakers included Hon. Asamoah Boateng, Hon. Dr. Gideon Boako, Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, Dr. Bannasco Ampong-Ansah, and Mrs. Obaa Yaa Frimpong, Chairlady of NPP-USA. Each speaker emphasized the need for reconciliation and collaboration among party ranks following the January 31, 2026 presidential primaries.
They cautioned against internal strife at all levels, whether among grassroots members, regional and national executives, or aspirants urging the party to focus instead on policies and initiatives that will address the pressing challenges facing Ghanaians.
Host Chairman Michael Amoako, in his opening remarks, underscored that unity is non-negotiable if the NPP hopes to secure power in 2028. “Without unity, the NPP cannot win,” he declared, rallying members to prioritize the party’s collective mission over individual ambitions.
The conference ended with a renewed commitment to fostering harmony and ensuring that the NPP remains a strong, cohesive force ready to lead Ghana into the next electoral cycle.
