Youth of Kukurantumi still furious over death of B.Ball – Reports
The youth at KuKurantumi showed their disappointment in the police personnel at KuKurantumi over the death of a suspect in police custody.
Speaking on Kessben TV with Kojo Preko Dankwah, Nana Kwasi Asare explained the youth in KuKurantumi wanted to burn down the police station at KuKurantumi, which escalated and resulted in the youth destroying some properties of the police station, stressing their dissatisfaction over the death of Bright, the suspect who was under Police Custody.
According to Nana Kwasi, policemen led by the Chief Inspector at KuKurantumi went to arrest Bright over a TV robbery sold to him claiming the TV had been recovered but the police wanted to arrest Bright known as D-ball being the suspect.
He said, Bright refused to be arrested which resulted in a misunderstanding with the policemen, and he was hurt. Bright was rushed to the KuKurentumi Community Hospital because he was unwell and unfortunately died there”.
The youth in KuKurentumi attacked the policemen and destroyed most of the things at the police station,the police station had to be shut down”
Nana Kwasi Asare revealed the Regional Commander, Cop Ankrah, and the Regional Minister had to intervene to ensure there is peace in KuKurantumi.
