Oforikrom MCE is a gem, He does it just like Mahama – James Sukah Jerry (Papa Jay) eulogizes Anwel Sadat Ahmed

James Sukah Jerry, affectionately known as Papa Jay, the communication director for the NDC at the Oforikrom Constituency, has showered praise on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Oforikrom, Anwel Sadat Ahmed, describing him as “a gem” and an “epitome of democracy.”

According to Papa Jay, Sadat Ahmed embodies leadership qualities reminiscent of President John Dramani Mahama. humility, tolerance, and an unwavering commitment to unity.

“My MCE Anwel Sadat Ahmed is too good, just like President Mahama. He is not vindictive. He is cool with everyone, both NPP and NDC, in the municipality,” Papa Jay passionately stated.

Sadat Ahmed’s leadership in Oforikrom has won admiration across the political divide. Despite the often polarized nature of Ghanaian local politics, the MCE has managed to strike a balance that fosters inclusivity and cooperation between supporters of the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“The known NPP guys who fought against him, he welcomes them every time,” Papa Jay noted. “He’s too humble.”

Papa Jay further recounted alleged efforts to sabotage Sadat Ahmed’s appointment, claiming that certain political figures within the Oforikrom Constituency were offered incentives to vote against the MCE.

“It was alleged that the Oforikrom Constituency MP paid a ‘losing bonus’ to Assembly Members affiliated with the NPP to vote against our MCE, but all to no avail,” he revealed.

Despite these alleged attempts, Sadat Ahmed emerged unscathed, thanks in part to his character and the goodwill he has built over the years. His ability to win the trust of those even outside his political camp stands as a testament to his authentic and non-discriminatory approach to leadership.

Anwel Sadat Ahmed continues to serve as a beacon of hope and a refreshing example of democratic maturity in Ghana’s local governance system. In a time when political tensions often overshadow community development, his conduct sets a new standard for what it means to lead with grace, humility, and fairness.
