NPP Unity Conference: Former NHIA CEO Calls on Party Aspirants to End Abusive Rhetoric

Dr. Aboagye Da-Costa, former Chief Executive Officer of Ghana’s National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), has issued a strong call for unity within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), specifically urging all party aspirants to abandon abusive language against fellow members.

Speaking at the NPP West London Chapter’s Unity Conference, Dr. Da-Costa emphasized that “Unity is negotiated” and advised all NPP aspirants to “desist from all forms of abusive words against each other in order to maintain peace ahead of 2028 elections. “

Diaspora Role in Party Unity:

The former NHIA boss charged both the NPP party and the entire diaspora community to “unite as one to fight for the party.” He stressed the critical importance of diaspora support for NPP leadership currently working in Ghana to achieve the party’s objectives and champion national development.

“The victory for NPP 2028 elections is possible to happen if we work together,” Dr. Da-Costa declared, highlighting the potential for success through collective effort and unified purpose.

Call for Constructive Politics:

Dr. Da-Costa’s message comes at a crucial time as the party prepares for future electoral contests. His emphasis on maintaining peaceful discourse among aspirants reflects growing concerns about internal divisions that could weaken the party’s prospects.

The Unity Conference organized by the NPP West London Chapter demonstrates the diaspora’s commitment to supporting constructive political engagement and fostering harmony within party ranks.

The former NHIA CEO’s call for unity and respectful dialogue sets an important tone for how NPP members, both in Ghana and abroad, should conduct themselves as the party works toward its 2028 electoral goals.
