Emotions are still running high in the heart of Asanteman following Asante Kotoko’s disappointing loss to arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the GHALCA Top 4 clash last Sunday.
The defeat, which left many fans dejected, has sparked intense reactions from supporters, with one of the most passionate responses coming from DJ KA of Kessben FM.
Speaking on his Kenkren to Krankran Show on Kessben FM, DJ KA did not mince words. In a mix of frustration and humor, he exclaimed:
“The Asante Kotoko team should be up and doing. Last Sunday, their loss to Hearts in the GHALCA Top 4 made me throw away my fufu. If they don’t raise their performance, we will report the team to Otumfuo!” He said.
The match against Hearts, a long-standing rival in Ghanaian football’s most historic rivalry, was expected to be a statement of intent for the upcoming season. Instead, Kotoko appeared disjointed and uninspired, raising questions about the team’s preparedness and direction under the current technical bench.
Asante Kotoko has a rich legacy that demands nothing short of excellence. With the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season around the corner, fans are hoping this early embarrassment serves as a wake-up call.
