Eleven votes went to Georgina Ama Ankomah, his opponent. Every ballot that was cast was legitimate, and none were returned.

The GJA Elections Dispute Adjudication Committee (EDAC) ordered the rerun after the June 30, 2025, elections were tainted by anomalies. These included issues with voter eligibility, such as a journalist registered in the Greater Accra Region casting a ballot in Ashanti, and a violation of the GJA constitution.

In response, the EDAC ordered a new election to be held within 14 working days, with stringent requirements such the release of the final voter list in advance and the prohibition of additional voter lists.

Kofi Adu Domfeh’s victory ended weeks of electoral uncertainty and reaffirmed the Association’s dedication to justice and openness. He is now the Chairman-elect for the Ashanti Region GJA.
