Ghana Premier League Clubs Set to Benefit from Merit Awards

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced an exciting development for the upcoming Ghana Premier League (GPL) season. In partnership with Adesa Production Limited, the GFA has unveiled a merit award scheme for the top 15 placed clubs in the league.

According to the GFA, the first four teams will attract significant prizes, with the champion receiving Gh₵2 million, the runner-up Gh₵1 million, the third-placed team Gh₵800,000, and the fourth-placed team Gh₵750,000.

The total merit awards for the top 15 teams will amount to Gh₵9.5 million. The breakdown of the awards is as follows:

2nd place: Gh₵1,000,000
3rd place: Gh₵800,000
4th place: Gh₵750,000
5th place: Gh₵700,000
6th place: Gh₵650,000
7th place: Gh₵600,000
8th place: Gh₵550,000
9th place: Gh₵500,000
10th place: Gh₵450,000
11th place: Gh₵400,000
12th place: Gh₵350,000
13th place: Gh₵300,000
14th place: Gh₵250,000
15th place: Gh₵200,000
