The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced an exciting development for the upcoming Ghana Premier League (GPL) season. In partnership with Adesa Production Limited, the GFA has unveiled a merit award scheme for the top 15 placed clubs in the league.

According to the GFA, the first four teams will attract significant prizes, with the champion receiving Ghโ‚ต2 million, the runner-up Ghโ‚ต1 million, the third-placed team Ghโ‚ต800,000, and the fourth-placed team Ghโ‚ต750,000.

The total merit awards for the top 15 teams will amount to Ghโ‚ต9.5 million. The breakdown of the awards is as follows:

1st place: Ghโ‚ต2,000,000
2nd place: Ghโ‚ต1,000,000
3rd place: Ghโ‚ต800,000
4th place: Ghโ‚ต750,000
5th place: Ghโ‚ต700,000
6th place: Ghโ‚ต650,000
7th place: Ghโ‚ต600,000
8th place: Ghโ‚ต550,000
9th place: Ghโ‚ต500,000
10th place: Ghโ‚ต450,000
11th place: Ghโ‚ต400,000
