Ghanaian presenter shot dead by armed robbers in Nigeria
Silverbird Nigeria’s Rhythm FM has lost one of its finest presenters, Iphie Aggrey-Fynn, who was reportedly shot dead by armed robbers along Aba-Port Harcourt expressway on Tuesday, June 2, 2015.
Reports claim that the Ghanaian-born presenter with Rhythm 93.7FM Port Harcourt had gone to see her parents in Aba and was on her way back to Port Harcourt when the bus she boarded was attacked by armed robbers.
She had attended a wedding before heading back to Port Harcourt. Her employers are yet to make an official statement.
The late presenter entered into the world of broadcasting in 2003 as an intern with NTA Channel 6, where she worked as a TV presenter and news reporter before moving on to PBS Cable TV.
She joined Rhythm 95.7 Awka a few years later, before settling down with Rhythm 93.7 Port Harcourt in 2011. She was a graduate of Linguistics and Communication Studies.
