Most producers in Kumasi boycotted us with movie roles just because we supported NDC – Oboy Siki 

Oboy Siki has reflected on a politically charged chapter from several years ago, when he and other actors publicly endorsed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and, as a result, were sidelined by some movie producers in Kumasi.

Oboy Siki disclosed on Kessben TV with Mr Bonez that his open support for the NDC led to a noticeable shift in casting decisions by Kumasi-based film producers.

Similarly, actor Clement Bonney (Mr Beautiful) confirmed that producers explicitly told him his NDC affiliation hurt potential revenue in Kumasi, effectively blacklisting him from new roles.

He also criticized the previous ruling NPP for allegedly using campaign funds to sway voters in 2024, asserting that Ghanaians ultimately rejected the strategy and voted for change.
