Success Isn’t in Your Grades”: Hon. Ken Agyapong Challenges Youth at UHAS Entrepreneurship Summit

Business magnate and presidential hopeful Hon. Ken Agyapong has urged Ghanaian youth to redefine their understanding of success, stressing that academic achievements alone are not enough in today’s competitive world.

Speaking at the 2025 Entrepreneurship Summit held at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ho, Hon. Ken Agyapong delivered a rousing keynote address that struck a chord with students, entrepreneurs, and policymakers alike.

“Being a first-class student is commendable, but it does not guarantee success,” he stated. “Life rewards discipline, boldness, and the courage to take risks, not just grades.”

The summit, which attracted hundreds of young participants, was centred on the theme: “Igniting Innovation: Youth-Led Entrepreneurship for Economic Growth.”

In a firm yet inspirational tone, Hon. Ken Agyapong encouraged students to be aggressive and intentional in their pursuit of success. He dispelled the myth that aggression is a negative trait, saying:

“If you’re aggressive about your goals and stay focused, that energy will eventually pay off. Don’t apologise for being driven.”

He also underscored the critical importance of education in entrepreneurship, challenging the false notion that business success can be achieved without intellectual preparation.

“Even in business, your education sharpens your thinking and improves your decision-making. Never walk away from that advantage,” he said.

Hon. Ken Agyapong’s message was not just motivational, it was practical. His remarks were aimed at reshaping the mindset of young Ghanaians to value self-discipline, adaptability, and long-term planning as pillars of real success.

The summit’s agenda included workshops, mentorship sessions, and a free mini-importation masterclass, giving students firsthand insights into global trade and digital entrepreneurship.
